Yummy Interactive Offers Distribution to the Winner of Vortex 2009

Yummy Interactive Inc has joined Vortex 2009 as a generous sponsor at the Vortex Game Competition 2009 slated for Nov 3-4-5, 2009.

Yummy Interactive will ensure the game finalist’s finished product gains exposure to their distribution channels reaching over 15 million broadband subscribers worldwide. Additionally, the winning developer will receive a complimentary copy of Yummy Interactive’s GameShield™ Software tool-kit.  

Presented by the McLuhan Festival of the Future, the Vortex Competition is Canada ’s pre-eminent forum for emerging digital media entrepreneurs. On November 4th and 5th, selected game developers and enthusiasts will compete pitching their game idea and/or prototype in front of a panel of leading industry players including Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Toronto/Montreal, Blake Lewin, Creator of GameTap, and Kevin O’Leary, Dragons’ Den.  

Before the competition, aspiring video game developers will have the opportunity to craft their business and technical skills through educational sessions at the Vortex Boot Camp on November 3rd where internationally renowned industry leaders share their expertise with the competitors in the fields of game design, production, development, business, finance and marketing.   

The overall prize package is worth in excess of $50,000 and includes valuable one-on-one mentoring from industry gurus and an opportunity for the winning game to be distributed and published on multiple platforms.
