Creating Licenses

Creating a new license for your game using the GameShield License Manager is easy.

The basic steps to creating a license project are:

  1. Create a new license project, or use the New Project Wizard using the GameShield License Manager.
  2. Add or modify the license fields, and define behaviour to meet your specific requirements. Optionally define localized version of UI elements - all into a single package if you like.
  3. Save and compile the project. If you are using the IronWrap Edition, at this point, your game is wrapped and compiled into a highly secure package ready for deployment.
  4. Deploy.

When you create a license project, there are a few basic design considerations you should keep in mind. Most important among these is careful consideration of your desired license model. It is essential that you carefully consider all the ways you may need to use the license before you compile your final version.

Once you have finished creating your license, you must compile it to create a distributed license. If you are using the IronWrap edition of the DRM Kit, this step will also create a wrapped secure version of your game.
