Possible Conflict Considerations

There are only three possible conflicts that can occur during the licensing execution which can potentially cause problems:

  1. Virgin Registry Data key conflict.

  2. Registry Alias File key conflict.

  3. Hidden Alias File name conflict.

You should ensure that your registry key names do not conflict with any actual (real) keys that might be on the clients machine. This is simple to achieve by using the generate GUID function in the License Manager. See Virgin Registry Data Tab, and Creating Registry Alias Files fore more info on generating GUIDs.

Likewise - you should ensure that file names for Hidden Alias Files are unique. This is relatively easy to achieve by searching the Internet for possible name conflicts.
