The Advanced Defense System (ADS) is a secret and proprietary protection mechanism the IronWrap  system uses to protect your applications.

The ADS system can be configured from "off" or 0 to "maximum" or level 10. At level 0 it does nothing, as you increase the strength of the ADS system towards 10, the internal structure of the system gets more and more "aggressive". Until at level 10, it uses every possible means to defend your program against intruders.

No - ADS is not a root-kit. It does not in any way subvert the operating system.

Yes - ADS is aggressive at the highest level and performs actions which may not be stable for all programs in all possible environments.

The precise details of what ADS does internally are withheld for security reasons.
