GameShield System Feature Guide > Serial Numbers > Total Activations Permitted

Total Activations Permitted

Total activations permitted is a representation in the CheckPoint database of how many (normal) Activations are permitted for a particular Serial Number. This is the primary controller for how many times a Serial Number can be Activated on end-user machines.

By contrast, Overflow Activations Permitted, may extend the total number of Activations permitted beyond this value.

Together, total Activations permitted plus overflow Activations permitted equal the true total number of times a particular Serial Number can be Activated.
